Raw Black Sesame seeds also called Iri goma Kuro in Japan, are an essential taste of Japan. Irigoma kuro can be added to many dishes and taste especially good when toasted (dry fried). Black Sesame seeds are part of Gomashio, which is sesame seeds and sea salt.
As well as pouring on inside-out sushi rolls, you can try Toasted sesame seeds on dishes like yakitori, yakisoba noodles and sprinkled over a Salad.
Food Fact: Sesame seeds are exceptionally rich in iron, magnesium, manganese, copper and calcium and contain vitamin B (thiamine) and Vitamin E (tocopherol) . They contain lignans, including unique content of sesamin, which are phytoestrogens with antioxidant and anti-cancer properties.
