If you’re on www.sushisushi.co.uk then the chances are you’ve at least tried sushi once. Either while traveling around Asia, at one of the UK’s continually growing number of sushi bars or just trying it in a take away box from M&S. In our recipes section we show you how to make your own maki sushi and many other kinds.

Maki Sushi

When most westerners think of sushi, the maki roll is first in there minds. Easy to make and relatively easy to locate ingredients in most oriental supermarkets, the maki roll is a great choice to easily make sushi for lunch or dinner party. Like many other kinds of sushi, maki is eaten with soy sauce, wasabi and gari (pickled ginger). It can contain anything if you're feeling creative, this list is by no means the be all and end all of maki. Experiment, send in your ideas and we might even publish them!

Nigiri Sushi

This is another popular and familiar sushi dish. Two small rice balls are topped with fish (or anything else for that matter). Some times wrapped with a single strip of nori (seaweed sheet) to hold it together and just for visual appeal. This is easy to make and tastes great.
