This Japanese sauce is a fine example of yoshoku food. “Western food” but transformed for a Japanese pallette. This sauce is served with such fusion dishes as fried pork or chicken cutlet, potato and beef croquette (korokke), fried shrimp (ebifurai sando), and fried oysters (kakifuai).
Bulldog Tonkatsu sauce is made from vegatables, spices, and fruit. It is Japan's favourite brand of Tonkatsu sauce.

Korokke (or croquette)
This is a super easy dish. You need only add fried beef mince (1/4 l/b) and onion (half, finely diced) to mashed potatoes (4 medium) and you're basically there.
Add salt and pepper to taste before molding into thick oval-shaped patties. Dust with flour, dip in a beaten egg and coat with panko (Japanese bread crumbs).
Deep fry in 350°F oil until brown. Serve on a bed of finely diced cabbage and cover with Bulldog tonkatsu sauce.
