Chef's Recipe: Sake Steamed Chicken Breast Tofu Salad

Summer is there! Keep yourself fit with some healthy Tofu recipe from Naoko, our friend, Japanese food artist and teacher over at Naoko's Kitchen is in Truro Cornwall, where she teaches authentic Japanese home style cooking and children’s baking.

 Sake Steamed Chicken Breast Tofu Salad (Serves 1)

 

Ingredients

Method

 

 

<Sake steamed Chicken Breast>
  • 100g Chicken breast
  • 2 Tbsp of cooking Sake
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt

 

  1. Open the package of tofu and carefully transfer to a clean kitchen paper or cloth. Sprinkle some sea salt over the tofu and wrap it in the cloth for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile cook the chicken
  3. Put sea salt on the chicken and place the chicken and sake in a plastic container and seal with lid.
  4. Heat it in a microwave for 2 minutes and let it cool down.
  5. Season the chicken
  6. Tear the chicken up using folk or fingers as fine as you can, and add salt, sesame oil and spring onion and combine well.
