How To Make a Healthy Green Tea Smoothie

Ok, so some people want all the benefits of green tea, but they're not particularly fond of the flavour. To many people who try green tea for the first time, it can be quite a bitter taste, and you can't really sweeten it with sugar (although you can sweeten it with honey!

Green tea is full of antioxidants and can really help you feel more energised, but if you don't like drinking tea, why not try getting all the same benefits in a delicious healthy smoothie? 

This smoothie recipe contains lots of green tea, but teamed with sweet, fruity and creamy flavours, it'll take the bitter edge off, while you still get a good dose of healthiness!

You will need:

  • 2 Frozen Bananas (Works fine with un-frozen, but you'll have to chill the smoothie)
  • 1 Thumb of Fresh Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Paste / Essence
  • 2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp Matcha Powder
  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

Recipe

  • It couldn't be simpler to make a delicious smoothie, just start by peeling the ginger.
  • Add the ginger and the bananas to a blender and whirl until smooth.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the blender, then spin until combined.

The smoothie will be creamy and green, and it will taste sweet and luscious!
