Dengaku Tofu

Dengaku is a Miso glazed dish that has been eaten in Japan for around 1000 years! Famous dengaku dishes are Tofu, Konnyaku, aubergine. You can cook Dengaku Tofu so easy with just a pan! Also, we give you a super lazy recipe using micro wave. 

You can make dengaku tofu with firm Tofu. 

Dengaku tofu ( cook with a pan )

1 firm Tofu ( about 300g to 350g)

3 tbsp of red miso paste

5 tbsp of sugar

2 tbsp of Sake

1 tbsp od Mirin

Mustard if you like  

 Cut Tofu to eatable size, wrap them with kitchen roll to take the water away and leave them while you are making miso sauce. ( leave about 20min )

Fry tofu in the pan, put the oil if it sticks to the pan. Fry each sides for about 2min. Remove those tofu from the pan and start cooking ★ marked sauces all together in the pan. When it gets bit thick, put the tofu back in the pan and fry together. Serve it with mustard on. 


Cook with microwave

1 firm Tofu

1 tbsp of miso

1 tbsp of sugar

1 tbsp of mirin

1 tbsp of sake

Boil tofu, wipe water with kitchen roll. Cut tofu to eatable sizes. Mix all the ★marked ingredients together, heat it in the microwave. Put the sauce on the tofu and it is all done! Very Easy
