Tencho Sushi Ginger 50g

Knowns as “Gari” in Japanese, this is usually served with sushi as a garnish and pallet cleanser. The ginger has been thinly sliced and marinated in vinegar and koji packed sake lees (sake kasu) to give it a mild heat and umami sweetness.

Sushi ginger is typically served alongside sushi to cleanse the palate between different types of sushi or to refresh the palate after eating rich or fatty fish. It is also often used as a garnish for sushi rolls or other Japanese dishes.
