Rich and full bodied Belgian-style ale with flavour of roasted malt and spicy sansho from the Far Yeast brewing company.

Kagua beers offer a special aromatic experience due to the blend of Japanese herbs, fruits and spices, such as yuzu and sansho. These ingredients are rarely used in beer production.

To ensure that Far Yeast deliver the finest aroma, they procure the yuzu and sansho directly from top quality producers who have exceptional reputations.

Yeast is essential for brewing and determines much of the quality of the finished product. Far Yeast have chosen premium yeasts, which are used by only a few of the finest beers in the world. This gives KAGUA a characteristically rich and bold original taste.

Tasting Notes

A rosy dark copper beer with a creamy head with a mixed aroma of roasted malt, yuzu and Japanese sansho pepper.

The sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the hops are well balanced at an elevated level. The complex flavours also give a refreshingly spicy aftertaste.

Full bodied with high alcoholic content. The low-level of natural carbonation is created in the bottle-fermentation process and provides a very smooth drinking experience. Brewed in Belgium, 9% Alcohol, 330ml
