Will the speckles be the same on every dish?
No. The speckles come from the clay and glaze reacting in the kiln, so their number and spread vary a little from dish to dish. The matte black ground and the shape are consistent.
Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?
We are waiting on the maker's care guidance and will add it here before the stock lands, so we are not going to guess. Until it arrives, hand washing in warm soapy water with a soft sponge is the safe choice for glazed Japanese tableware. Let it dry fully before stacking or putting it away.
