This Mino ware plate is 165mm across and 18mm high, finished in kohiki white slip with a swirl pattern. It is almost flat, so food sits open on the surface, and the warm white is softer than bright porcelain.

Kohiki (粉引), meaning powder-drawn, came to Japan from Korean pottery: a darker clay is coated in white slip and glazed, so the surface looks softly dusted with flour. A swirl in the slip adds movement. This is kohiki-style Mino ware from Gifu Prefecture, Japan's largest ceramic tableware region.
How is this different from a white porcelain plate?
Porcelain is white all the way through and usually smooth and bright. Kohiki is a darker clay coated in white slip, so the white is warmer and slightly speckled, with the body sometimes showing at the edge. The result feels more hand-finished. At 165 x 18mm this is a low, everyday side plate.

Will the swirl be the same on each plate?
Similar, not identical. The swirl is in the slip, so its shape and depth vary a little from plate to plate.
Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?
We are waiting on the maker's care guidance and will add it here before the stock lands, so we are not going to guess. Until it arrives, hand washing in warm soapy water with a soft sponge is the safe choice for glazed Japanese tableware. Let it dry fully before stacking or putting it away.
