AMABUKI - Strawberry Blossom Yeast Nama (Raw Sake) Junmai Ginjo 720ml

Amabuki Brewery, located in Saga Prefecture, Japan, specializes in utilizing flower yeasts to impart distinctive flavors and aromas to their sakes. In the case of the Strawberry Blossom Yeast Nama Junmai Ginjo, the use of this particular yeast strain adds a unique character and potential strawberry-like notes to the sake.

International Wine Challenge 2022 SAKE category was judged, and "Amabuki Junmai Ginjo Strawberry Yeast" won the GOLD medal. The IWC is known as the "Sake Olympics" and is now known as the world's most influential competition. Winning a gold medal in a global competition is the first achievement for a sake brewery.

It is a refreshing and light drink. Strawberry flower sake yeast is used to give this sake a uniquely refreshing sweetness and fruitiness that is indeed reminiscent of plump, ripe strawberries. The perfect balance of umami and sourness.

The term "Nama" refers to "raw" sake, which means it is unpasteurised. Nama sakes are known for their lively and fresh flavors. However, it's worth noting that unpasteurised sakes have a shorter shelf life and are typically recommended to be consumed sooner after production.

Tasting Notes: Light mouthfeel, savoury plumpness, clean acidity and fresh sweetness.

Perfect Food Pairing: Fig Prosciutto, Spanish Sauces, Wagyu or Otoro Carpaccio, Lamb and Goat Dishes
