Nori is one of the most popular ingredients in Japanese cuisine. It’s used for wrapping sushi, added to soups, stews, and noodles to add a delicious smoky flavour, and even toasted to create a fantastic (and very more-ish) snack.

Did you know? Nori was originally consumed as a luxury food item by samurais in ancient Japan? During the 8th century, nori was considered a delicacy and was reserved for the upper class due to its limited availability. However, as seaweed cultivation techniques improved over time, nori became more widely accessible and eventually became a staple in Japanese cuisine
