Okonomiyaki is often referred to as 'Japanese pizza'. However, it is more like a omelette with a variety of different ingredients but usually bacon and cabbage is added. It is then topped with bonito flakes and okonomiyaki sauce. The sauce is based from the Japanese brown sauce with a slightly different taste. There are many types of okonomiyaki to try in different prefectures of Japan. This sauce also tastes great on burgers and even in stir-fries!
