Miyatake Pre-Cooked Udon Noodles, 5 Packs
宮武さぬきうどん ゆで (5食入り) 900g

Udon noodles are a staple of Japanese cuisine and are enjoyed in a variety of dishes, including soups, stir-fries, and salads and can be seasoned with soy sauce, oyster sauce, or other flavourful sauces. Cold udon salads are also popular, which involve serving the noodles chilled with a variety of toppings, such as sliced cucumbers, carrots, and sesame seeds.

They are thicker than other types of Japanese noodles, such as soba or ramen, and are often served in a broth made from dashi (a stock made from dried fish flakes and seaweed), soy sauce, and mirin (a sweet rice wine). The broth is usually topped with ingredients such as sliced meat, fish cakes, vegetables, and green onions.

The texture of udon noodles is one of their defining characteristics. They are chewy and slightly doughy, which gives them a satisfying mouthfeel. The thickness of the noodles also makes them filling and substantial, which is why they are often used in hearty soups and stews.

Cook the noodles in boiling water for 2 - 3 minutes. Ensure all noodles are covered by water. Drain well and serve.
