Information

Tsurumiso Shiro Miso 500g
鶴見味噌 白味噌
Tsurumiso Premium White Miso is made using traditional methods and carefully selected ingredients. The soybeans and rice koji are fermented for a period of time to create a rich and complex flavour. The miso is then aged for several months to allow the flavours to fully develop.

It has a delicate, sweet taste with a slightly salty umami flavour and is less salty and more mild than darker miso varieties, making it a versatile ingredient in many different types of dishes including miso soup, marinades, dressings, and glazes for grilled meats and vegetables. It can also be used as a substitute for salt in some recipes to add depth of flavour.

This miso, can be blended with red miso to make “Awase Miso” (mixed miso) which is great as a base for miso soup.

Cooking Directions for Miso Soup:
1. Bring water to a boil in a sauce pan.
2. Add your favourite ingredients such as pork, tofu, cabbage etc...
3. Cook ingredients, add miso and dissolve completely.
4. Return to a boil and serve.
