Chawanmushi Bowl with Lid 85x90mm

A type of Japanese ceramic bowl that is specifically designed for serving chawanmushi, a traditional Japanese savoury egg custard dish. The bowl usually comes with a matching lid, which helps to keep the dish warm and also adds an element of presentation.

Since egg custard can't be picked up by chopsticks, chawanmushi is one of the few Japanese dishes that is eaten with a spoon! The Tenmoku Black Japanese Chawanmushi Bowl could of course also be used to serve a whole host of other tasty snacks!
