Hon wasabi Contains a large amount of real wasabi. Most other wasabi products contain ingredients to imitate the true taste of Japanese wasabi. Large amounts of horseradish and mustard powder are usually added. This product contains 58.3% frozen real wasabi (Wasabi Japonica).

Wasabi is notoriously difficult to grow, and as such is expensive due to the high demand. The difference in taste is noticeable, as real wasabi has more taste with the heat. Treat your taste buds next time you have sushi with this real wasabi.

Frozen real wasabi, on the other hand, is made from the actual wasabi plant and is often considered a more authentic and premium form of wasabi. Unlike the imitation wasabi that is commonly consumed, frozen real wasabi is typically grated from the fresh root of the plant and then frozen to preserve its flavour and potency.
