King Whet Stone 800/6000
High quality whet stone from Japan.
One of the key features of King whetstones is their abrasive material, which is made from a combination of aluminium oxide and silicon carbide. This material is effective at removing metal from the blade of a knife, while also leaving a smooth and polished finish.
The whetstones are typically mounted on a plastic or wooden base, which provides stability and prevents the stone from slipping during use.
2 x abrasive sides (800 grit / 6000 grit) ideal for taking care of your precious blade edge.
How to Use?
To use a King whetstone, it is recommended to soak the stone in water for around 10-15 minutes prior to use, to ensure that the surface is sufficiently lubricated. The knife is then held at a consistent angle against the stone, and drawn across the surface of the stone in a smooth and controlled motion. With a few passes, the knife's edge will become sharper and more polished.
