Information

Hakutsuru, Junmai Nigori Sayuri, 12.5% 300ml

Hakutsuru Sayuri Nigori Sake is made from high-quality rice, water, koji mold, and yeast. The production process involves milling the rice to remove the outer layers, steaming it, and fermenting it with koji mold and yeast. Unlike filtered sake, nigori sake is not passed through a fining process, allowing it to retain some of the rice sediment, resulting in a cloudy appearance.

Flavour Profile: Known for its delicate and sweet flavour profile. It often exhibits fruity notes such as melon, pear, or banana, along with a mild rice undertone. The unfiltered nature of nigori sake contributes to its creamy and slightly textured mouthfeel, enhancing the overall drinking experience!

How to Serve: Best served chilled or gently stirred before pouring to mix the sediments. It is typically enjoyed on its own or as an accompaniment to a variety of dishes, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, or light appetizers. The sweetness and smoothness of nigori sake make it a versatile choice for pairing with a range of flavours.
