3 Japanese Cocktail Recipes Perfect for Parties

There's nothing better than a refreshing and tasty cocktail at a party; it sure beats plain old beer any day, and really gives a festive feel to a special occasion. Since it's Christmas, this week we're sharing our recipes for three different cocktails, all inspired by Japanese flavours!

You'll want to stock up on a good bottle of sake, and some of the recipes below even contain Ramune, which is a Japanese soft drink!

All of the cocktails below can be turned into mocktails by removing the alcohol from the recipe too, so kids can join in with the grown up fun.

Pear and Green Tea Sake

A simple cocktail pairing vibrant pear with subtle and mellow tea flavours.

  • 1/2 Shot Pear Liqueur
  • 1/2 Shot Brewed Macha Tea
  • 1 Shot Sake
  • Squeeze of Fresh Lemon

Shake over ice and serve in a martini glass. Optionally add a spiral of lemon peel to decorate.

Vanilla Sakura Sparkler

Tart, springtime cherry flavours are sweetened by good vanilla in this recipe.

  • 2 Shots Cherry Juice
  • 2 Shots Sake
  • Soda
  • 1/4 Tsp Good Vanilla Extract

Shake together the Cherry Juice and Sake with the vanilla, serve over ice in a tall glass, and top up with soda. Garnish with fresh cherries in the glass.

Ramune Melon Sparkler

Sweet, moreish and fruity, with glittering flavours.

  • Melon Ramune
  • 1 Shot Midori
  • 1 Shot Blue Curacao
  • Squeeze of Fresh Lime

Shake together the Midori and Blue Curacao over ice, then pour into a tall glass. Top up with melon ramune, then a squeeze of lime.
