How to make Prawn Katsu

Ebi katsu (prawn katsu) is one of the popular menu for hamburger shops in Japan. Be katsu sandwich would be a great lunch to bring to work!  

Prawn Katsu for 4 

 Ingredients

Method

  1. 200g prawns (fresh or frozen)
  2. Flour
  3. Egg
  4. ☆ 1tbsp of Japanese Mayonnaise
  5. ☆ Salt and pepper
  6. ☆ Panko (breadcrumbs)
  1. Cut 60g of prawns to small pieces.
  2. Put the remaining prawns in to a food processor.
  3. Mix the cut and blended prawns together with the ingredients mark with the ☆ and roll into balls
  4. Cover the prawn balls with flower, dip them in the egg, then cover it with panko and fry until golden brown

 Recommend: Add Japanese aurora sauce which is a sauce created by mixing  Japanese mayo with ketchup.
