Make Karaage Without Deep-Frying

Did you know that you can make Karaage with oven at home? Try this recipe! 

Ingredients

200-300g of chicken thigh

garlic paste

ginger paste 

2-3 tbsp. of soy sauce

2-3 tbsp. of sake

salt and pepper

katakuriko (potato starch) / karaage batter mix

sesame oil / vegetable oil

 

1. Cut the chicken thigh to pieces and season with salt and pepper.

 

2. Make the sauce, put all  marked ingredients together to the bowl or freezer bag,

marinate the chicken pieces in sauce, leave them for 30min to 1 hour.

 

3. Coat chickens with katakuriko,

place them in the oven tray. (recommend to use tin foil as well) 

 

4. Pour sesame oil / vegetable oil over them.

 

 

5. Grill them on high heat (250℃) for about 20min.
